The "V" shaped narrow arbor pictured below, is a tremendous innovation. It channels or guides the backing and fly line automatically, so that you can concentrate on fighting the fish without worrying about how your backing is being distributed. More importantly. it adds tremendous integrity or strength to the thin wall design of the spool.

The Runner, which is built on the same principles as its big brother Speedrunner, is the obvious choice for light saltwater or slightly heavier single-hands.
