Hare's Mask Grade #1
Both the natural, and dyed hares mask are a must for nymphs such as the Hares Ear. The ears contain short, stiff fibers, almost exclusively composed of guard hairs. The center of the mask gives the tyer a both stiff guard hairs as well as the under fur needed to dub the body. This is also where the tailing material comes from. The outside or cheeks of the mask provide a soft, long-fibered hair good for tails on swimming nymphs. Use the whiskers for tailing large mayflies. This is a very versatile material and a must-have for every tyer.
Each mask is a Grade #1 (Highest grade available from Hareline Dubbin.)
