Perfectly placed where the Rio Manso meets Lago Hess, this charming eight person lodge comes highly recommended! This is the only lodge in the Nahuel Huapi Nacional Park and is surrounded by breathtaking vistas of the Andes Mountains.

The appealing main lodge features spacious guest rooms with incredible views as well as all the standard creature comforts and more.Before dinner, gather in the relaxing lounge area, then adjourn to the adjacent dining room. Argentina's gracious hospitality is world famous and no better demonstrated than by the lodge's delicious meals paired with just the right Argentine wine.

Guided fishing takes place on the Rio Manso located just steps from the lodge. Over 20 miles of this ever changing river are fished by lodge guests. If you prefer, there's a host of other rivers and small streams on tap as well. For a special trophy treat, prowl Lago Hess, again right out the back door, for some truely monster trout.

Brown, Rainbow and Brook Trout have been in these waters since their original introduction in 1904. Fish average 1-4 pounds. While by no means an everyday occurance, double digit trout are present and taken every season by guests, no doubt the trout of a lifetime.

Dries, nymphs and streamers are all effective approaches: there's enough water that no matter your preference, you'll find plenty of opportunity to test your skills

And no matter how the fishing goes, Rio Manso's spectacular backdrop will make every day afield memorable.

For the non-angler, Rio Manso offers a broad menu of activities, from horseback riding to hiking and rafting.

Rio Manso is relatively easy to get to and flexible packages allow you to tailor each visit to your individual schedule.Fly from Buenos Aires to San Carlos de Bariloche, a 2 1/2 hr jet flight, where you will be picked up by representatives of the lodge. After a 90 minute drive, your vacation begins!

2014 Rates are a most reasonable $695 per person per night, including meals, accommodations and guided fishing, based on 2 guests sharing room and fishing guide. Non-fishing rates are $445 per night for meals, accommodations and unguided activities at the lodge.
