ZOOM Introduction to Fly Tying Class
Tuesdays, March 2nd, 9th and 16th 2021 7:00 - 9:00 PM
Each of the 3 Tuesday evening sessions will focus on a particular type of fly : dry flies, nymphs and streamers.
While working through and tying just a few patterns from each category of fly, this class will introduce you to techniques and subtleties that will allow you to tie and create patterns of your own.
Aside from tying, we'll discuss basic aquatic entomology, tying materials, tools and share the more creative and indoor-friendly side of this sport.
$75 a student for 3 sessions, all materials included. Due to logistics of the Zoom format, we have a couple of loaner vises but yyou will need to have access to a vice and a few basic fly tying tools.
Registration for the class provides the students with a $25 store credit to be applied to tying tools, books or materials. Students can pick up shop provided material up until 5pm on the day of the class. 10 students per session. Class space is first come first serve, please call the shop to sign up for the class.
Classes will be hosted Tuesday 7-9pm.
