Argentina
Chime Lodge sits on the banks of the Chimehuin River and affords anglers quick access to some of the very best and most storied waters in all of of Northern Argentina. If you are looking for a variety of waters to fish, world class guides along with fine lodging and dining, look no further.
The rivers available, including the Collon Cura, Alumine, Malleo, Calefu and Limay, have been celebrated for decades as among the finest trout waters in the world. The abundance of great water and lack of people combine to create a "must see" fishing destination.
To get to the lodge fly to Buenos Aires (Airport Code EZE) and then take a domestic flight to Chapelco Airport in San Martin de los Andes (Airport Code CPC) located at 28 miles from Chime Lodge or Bariloche Airport (Airport Code BRC) located at 140 miles from Chime Lodge.
(Please note that your airport transfers to and from the lodge from Chapelco are included in your stay).
Once you arrive at Chime Lodge, their professional and personable staff takes over. You will sleep in comfort, dine on the fine cuisine which has made Argentina unique, and enjoy wines from the vineyards of Mendoza. Your fishing will be organized by the staff to accommodate your wishes, and the guides will expertly introduce you to world class waters and the trout that inhabit them.
Both browns and rainbows of 14 to 18" are typical, with daily shots at 20, even 25" plus trophies. Each outing brings a new destination and fishing, from a day long float to a walk-wade trip on a smaller, more intimate stream. While these trout are not pushovers, success is there even for the novice fly rodder. English speaking guides are always at hand to share their love of the fishing, not to mention their knowledge of the countryside and wildlife.
